The Kirkus review of a story about a girl who becomes a victim of her teacher, talks about a girl named Alexandra, who lost her mother at the age of nine. Her father, who is ill equipped to handle a girl her age, cannot be there for her, so she turns to her teacher. Her teacher, named Paula, manipulates her and abuses her.
