Tim Crane’s ‘Religion Through an Atheist’ Point of View’ is analyzed through Unknown Unknowns: Three Inquiries into religion. Crane’s concern with other Atheist’s view of religion is discussed as well as Crane attempting to give a better definition of religion for atheists than their current one. He also discusses the use and flaws of attempting to define religion. He believes that while atheists are partially correct in assuming that religion is simply advanced cosmology with an ethical code attached to it but it is also an attempt to understand the word just like science. The two fields simply go about understanding with two very different approaches.
